The new released statistics showed that the Six 100 Billion Industry Strategy in Yichang had made a significant breakthrough, and the output value of fine chemicals and food biomedicine industries both exceeded 100 billion RMB in 2013.
According to statistics, in the first 11 months of last year, Yichang fine chemical industry completed the output value of 125.7 billion yuan, with an increase of 16%; the food biomedical industry 110 billion yuan, with an increase of 33.2%; and major industries such as new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, cultural tourism, logistics were approaching 100 billion yuan production value, with increases of more than 20%.
The city put emphasis on both quality and efficiency, and laid stress on leading enterprises. In the first 11 months of last year, the number of scale industrial enterprises reached 1157 with 166 newly increased ones, and these enterprises fulfilled the industrial added value of 117.3 billion Yuan, with a year on year increase of 13.6%.
