On February 7th, the Project Status Meeting on Three Gorges Tourism New Area was convened. It is reported that, in Three Gorges New Area this year, 20 new projects are planned to be commenced, 10 projects to be completed, and 20 projects to be updated.

　　It is learned from the meeting that projects including the Environmental Conservation Center of Three Gorges Dam, the Three Gorges Project Museum, the Cruise Ship Center of Yangtze Three Gorges, the Huangling Temple Tourist Center, and the Yichang Port Three Gorges Hub Tourist Dam-crossing Transfer Center are planned to be commenced this year. An aerial platform of about 17,000 kilometers, six floating passenger parking lots, a comprehensive service center, a leisure square and some other supporting service facilities, of which the tourist throughput is designed 150,000 person-time per year, are planned to be constructed along the coast line of 1,000 meters in Huangling Temple Tourist Center.

　　Amongst the projects-to-be-updated, a skiing area, a skating area, a snow-dancing area and supporting service area will be built in South Snow World of Three Gorges Dam; water amusement equipments such as beach, wave-pools and lazy river, as long as SPA wellness areas including SPA pools and spring hydrotherapy will be built in the Water Space of Three Gorges Dam. At the same time, the comprehensive control of Xialaoxi river valley is taken into the agenda. In addition, Three Gorges Bawangzai cultural performance area and Yuejiang Hotel are estimated to be finished in 2014.
