The construction of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system which Yichang people have longed for will be started soon in Yichang. On February 9, it was learned that the transformation of Dongshan Avenue and the construction of BRT project will be officially launched on Feb.25.

　　It was introduced that the excavation and construction of three underpasses (located at the International Trade Building, Yunji Tunnel entrance and Guoyuan No. 1 Road), from Dongshan Avenue, Xiling No. 1 Road to Guoyuan No. 1 Road, will be done at first. The project is divided into 3 phases, and during the first phase, the driveway will be closed for construction. During the construction, traffic control will be implemented at some road sections and some bus routes will be adjusted. (Reporter Zhao Wei, Xiao Dong)
