On February 13, it was learned from the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau that 19 cities were approved as national quality model cities by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ). Yichang was on the list, which made Yichang the first approved city in Hubei province.

　　AQSIQ will offer policy support in aspects of brand development, urban leading industry development and technology testing platform construction to those titled cities.
