On February 21st, it is learned from Yichang Municipal Tourism Work Conference that, according to the 2014 development goal of Yichang City, 36.5 million tourists from home and abroad are expected with a total tourism revenue of 30 billion RMB in 2014, achieving 10% and 15% year-on-year growth rate respectively.

　　In 2014, on the basis of Yichang Tourism Overall Planning, Intelligent Tourism Planning will be started. Through the guidance of planning, project-led strategy and resources integration, Yichang Three Gorges Tourism New District will be built into a cultural tourism industry with an output value of 100 billion RMB. The construction of key projects, such as Three Gorges Fish Protection Center etc., will be promoted, and rural tourism will be developed and county-level tourism will be upgraded. Creative marketing will be well organized, overseas market will be developed and the media publicity will be enhanced, making the brand “Fall in Love with Yichang” deeply rooted into people’s memory. The construction of tourism standardization system will be further promoted, characteristic service brand will be built and the quality of tourism service will be improved.
