on March 20, at the production base of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical export in the Bio-Industrial Park in Yichang Hi-Tech Zone, the workers are busy with installing and debugging the wet type granulator imported from Germany.
The base was built up in accordance with international standards. Its production line adopts the most advanced manufacturing technique in the world. Once the project is completed and put into operation, the "made in Yichang" tablets and capsules for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases will become Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical\'s trump card in the international market.
It is one of 109 key projects that the Zone will vigorously promote in 2014. The principal at Key Project Office of the Zone told the reporter that among them, there are 48 industrial ones, 31 social development ones and 30 infrastructure ones, with a total investment of 45.7 billion RMB and a future investment of 12.5 billion RMB in 2014.
The reporter learned that there are 69 new projects, including Huazhong Medical Apparatus and Instruments Industrial Park and Huaqiang High-Tech, and 40 continued projects, including CSG, GAC ZX AUTO Industrial Park and ZEMAO CHEMICAL Anhydrous Oxalic Acid Co-production.
How were the major projects selected? Yang Meiren, Director of the Administrative Committee of the Zone, informed the reporter that during the "screening" process, they not only paid attention to large projects of big influence, but also many small ones of high quality. Each one has gone through strict censorship such as industrial docking, environmental protection, technological content, and so on. The quality projects of a 100-billion industry, including advanced equipment manufacturing, new materials, bio-pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, can control the commanding height of development and help the Zone upgrade industries.

With an investment of 2.2 billion RMB, the production, research and development headquarters for touch sensitive display products (tablet PC, smart phone, touch smart phone, whiteboard) is going to be put into operation after completing registration, program evaluation and review and work program. To strongly boost major projects, the Zone appointed 109 cadres of deputy chief level and above as specialists and linked service quality with their performance appraisals. The principal at the Performance Office stated that they supervised key projects twice a month, inspected service quality on spot and notified the results with real names at the end of each quarter. In addition, taking the principle of problem-oriented as the guide, the Zone newly revises a management approach of key projects and assessment methods of service specialists, in order to further improve the mechanism of promoting projects and ensure that more than 20 new projects be under construction every quarter.
