On April 4th, 680 taxi drivers had a free meal in Tiyu Hotel, which signified the formal establishment of “Home of Taxi Drivers” in this hotel as the dining place for more than 1000 taxi drivers. This “home”, the largest dining place for taxi driver at present, is reported to improve greatly taxi drivers’ dining environment in Yichang.

　　Qu Xiang, General Manager of Tiyu Hotel, noted that this hotel can offer not only high quality and inexpensive lunch, but also 500 parking spaces for 1000 taxi drivers.

　　On behalf of the Taxi Trade Union, Du Jun, Deputy Director of Yichang Transportation Administrative Bureau, granted Tiyu Hotel the title of “Home to Taxis". Du said the Union would form a coordinating and supervising team, whose members would be selected from taxi drivers, to tackle taxi drivers’ dining difficulties and strictly monitor the hotel\'s food safety.
