Mr. Huang, the suspect has been living in a cave at Moji Hill Forest Park for ten years. In order to occupy the cave alone, he killed his “roommate” Mr. Xiang when he was sound asleep, and then dumped his body into a river. On February 23, the Changhang Public Security Bureau Yichang Branch broke the bizarre murder case. It took the police only 8 days to investigate the case. At present, Mr. Huang has been arrested for suspicion of intentional homicide, and will face  the public prosecution.

　　On February 15, the Changhang Yichang Police received a report from the masses that a body was found floating at Yanzhi Dam area on the Yangtze River at around 12:00. After receiving the report, the police hurried off to the scene and disposed it. According to the preliminary medical inspection, it was a male of about 50 years old, who has been dead for 3 to 5 days. After close examination, the legal medical expert said the dead man was struck in the head by a blunt tool for many times and died of heavy brain injury. Later, the dead body was dumped into a river.

　　On the evening of February 15, the criminal technicians checked the fingerprints of the dead through the Internet and identified him. They found that the dead man was named Mr. Xiang, who was 51 from Badong County. After a survey visit, the police learned that the deceased was withdrawn. His relatives only knew he lived alone in Yichang and took odd jobs. Mr. Xiang had no cell phone, no fixed residence and no friends.

　　On February 17, the police received a briefing from the Criminal Police Unit of the Public Security Bureau in Dianjun District. They reported that on February 12, a citizen fell off the Moji Hill and disappeared. When searching for the missing person under the main peak of Moji Hill, the police found a lot of bloodstains and drag marks on the river beach. They also found a cave on the hillside of the main peak. A man from Guangxi Province named Mr. Huang lived in the cave. He is 50 years old. A bloodstain was found inside the cave. After DNA testing on the blood, it was proved that the bloodstains from both places belonged to the same person.

　　On the morning of February 18, the technical staffs made a detailed inspection towards the cave and found a half-burnt railway ticket from the trash, which showed Mr. Xiang, January 29, from Badong to somewhere”.

　　Could the two Mr. Xiangs be the same person? With this question, the criminal technicians discovered a small splash of bloodstain on the top of the cave and side walls. Subsequently, the Changhang Yichang Police compared the victim\'s blood DNA with the blood DNA taken on the beach and the cave, the result showed that the bloodstain was left by Mr. Xiang.

　　So far, the task force ensured Mr. Huang who lived in cave of Moji Hill was the suspect. At 17 pm on February 21, the police arrested Mr. Huang at the south bank of Yiling Yangtze River Bridge.

　　Through interrogation, Mr. Huang confessed the killing of Mr. Xiang. His motive was really beyond all expectations. He killed Mr. Xiang neither for money nor for revenge, but for living alone in the cave.
