A serious car accident happened at the crossing of Shengli 3rd Road on Yanjiang Avenue at 15:56 on May 1, causing 2 dead, 2 seriously injured and 7 slightly injured. Mr. Zuo, the driver, has been arrested by the police.

　　According to a preliminary investigation made by the city traffic police detachment, Mr. Zuo, a resident of Yiling District, drove a Chevrolet with two family members from Wujiagang to Xiling District. When arriving at the crossing of Shengli 3rd Road, he crossed the double yellow line at the center of the road into the opposite lane, and killed two pedestrians and injured nine.
