Recently, Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) announced the Chinese Brand name of Famous, Special and Excellent Products List of 2013. 4 agriculture products in Yichang, Xiaoxihong Yichang Tangerine, Dengcun Green Tea, Yidu Mandarin Orange, Yihong Kungfu Tea, have been successfully selected to the list.

　　It’s reported that the list announced by the Development and Service Center for Quality Farm Products of MOA includes five categories, namely, grain and oil, vegetables, fruits and tea, covering 679 types of products and 820 production units. 16 types of products and 18 production units from Hubei province have been listed.

　　Since our country is rich in agriculture resources and agriculture products with regional characteristics, Efforts should be made to explore, protect, cultivate and develop a batch of brand-name, special and excellent products, to facilitate the improvement of breed and quality, to accelerate the promotion of the agriculture productiveness and increase farmers’ incomes. Therefore, since 2013, MOA has been collecting and releasing the list of a batch of edible agriculture products from crop farming every two years. It categorizes each product from the list into brand-name product, special product, excellent product or new product and recommends the eminent enterprises and cooperatives with solid management and reputation who are producers of those products. After that, it will formulate the regulations on the edit and release of the List of Chinese Famous, Special and Excellent Products to strength the regulation of the list and exhibit, recommend the products on the list by making use of the exhibitions held by itself, the total of which will contribute to extending the influence on society and promoting the standardized production and industrialized development of the products on the list.
