Intangible Cultural Heritages to Be Seen at Dragon Boat Festival

  On May 12, according to the Coordination Group of Dragon Boat Festival in Qu Yuan’s Hometown, the successors of intangible cultural heritages were seizing the time to make products related to intangible cultural heritages. The successors are come from Maopin and Guizhou, including Peng Bing, Liu Zhihua, Zheng Xianglong, Qiao Xian, Luo Liuying, Wang Zhengshuang, etc. Those cultural products with Yichang local characteristics will be on display at the Dragon Boat Festival custom performances.

  It is known that the Dragon Boat Festival customs exhibitions and performances will exhibit cultural customs about the Dragon Boat Festival in the forms of pictures, material objects and performances. The successors of Weeding gongs, Petrography skills, root carving art of Qu Yuan and Wang Zhaojun, the dragon boat production techniques and Miejiang skills (skills making articles from bamboo strips) will lively show their own cultural products. In addition, the intangible cultural heritage digitization training will be held in the Dragon Boat Festival to promote the better retention, succession, promotion of traditional culture.
