On May 12, reporters learned from the Yichang Water Conservancy and Hydropower Bureau that the flood control and revetment project in Yangcha Road is expected to be completed at the end of this month. By then, the 12.5 km. hydrophilic corridor will be completed, which will increase the flood control standards to hundred-year.
At the construction site, reporters saw an excavator lifting the bluestones from the truck to the construction site. A dozen construction workers were executing construction in an orderly manner.
Stared in March 10, 2013, the flood control and revetment project at Yangcha Road is the final stage project of first-stage project of Yichang flood control and revetment. Up to now, a total of 9.5 million yuan invested in the project. The first level retaining wall slurry masonry building has been completed. The earth backfill, slope shaping, bluestone stepping under 48.5 meters and the laying of prefabricated blocks under 48.5 meters have been basically finished.
The first-stage project of Yichang flood control and revetment is a public welfare water conservancy project for the comprehensive renovation and protection of the main section of Yichang. It’s also the key infrastructure project for the municipal government to build the city boutique, to create the world\'s hydropower tourist city.
