At 15:05pm on May 9, a trailer from Yichang to Jingmen was on fire when it arrived at the place 1086km to Jingmen. The Dangyang Fire Brigade immediately sent three fire trucks and twenty firefighters to put out the fire after they received the phone called for help.

　　At 15:28 on that day when the firefighters arrived at the spot, they saw black smog floating from the trailer and the six tires of the trailer was terribly burnt. The rescuers closed the freeway instantly, and the firefighters tried to put out the fire at the front and the back of the trailer. After a twenty-minute rescue, the fire was finally put out at 15:53.

　　It is learnt that the trailer was filled with cinders of over 50 thousands RMB yuan, and was driving from Yichang to Jingmen. When the driver suddenly saw form the rearview mirror the fire on the back tire, he instantly pulled off and tried to stop the fire with an extinguisher.
