On May 20, the billboards of the Dragon Boat Festival have already been put up on Chengdong Boulevard, Yichang City. This traditional festival is annually celebrated to honor Qu Yuan (c. 340BC-278BC), the first patriotic poet in the Chinese history. As the festival is around the corner, the “Qu Yuan’s Hometown (Yichang) Cultural Festival” is also under preparation. Everyone in the city has already felt the strong festive atmosphere.
