On May 29, the day before the opening ceremony of the Dragon Boat Festival in Qu Yuan’s hometown, the trade meeting and the signing ceremony of the commercial projects was held by Zigui, in the theme of ‘cooperating with Qu Yuan’s hometown and creating the beautiful future’, and 4.6 billion RMB projects were signed on that day.

　　Among these projects, Shen Zhen Beidou National Science and Technology Limited Company will invest 2.68 billion RMB to build ‘one park with four centers’ in Zigui which are the industrial park of the Beidou navigation System, Beidou terminal R&D and manufacturing center, Intelligent digital detonator Center, Information security terminal production center (Digital Encryption intercom) and Information security terminal production center (Digital Encryption intercom). Yichang Transportation Group will invest 495 million RMB to build the Zigui Cruise Homeport consisting of six big berths for luxury cruises in which three will be new constructions and another three are reorganized and expanded constructions and one roll-roll berth for passenger transport. After the construction and operation of those projects, they will bring a new tourism format to the first port nearby the Three Gorges Dam and promote the rapid growth of the tourism industry. Besides, the flat solar energy manufacturing project, the integral movement of Hangzhou Zhongyi optical glass, the removal and expansion of the Huaqiang High-Tech Company, the manufacturing project of the public facilities and the quick-frozen food processing in the brand of Qu Yuan were signed at the same time. After those projects are finished and put into operation, it will be able to realize 2.365 billion RMB of annual sales revenue, more than 527 million profit and tax and provide 1600 jobs.

　　Zigui posses green mountains, green water, blue sky and beautiful landscape, making great efforts to implement the five major focuses: integrating with the Three Gorges, supporting innovation, making breakthroughs along the Yangtze River, protecting the environment and balancing the overall urban-rural development. It also strives to be built into a big county with agricultural characteristics, a strong county with new industry, a new county with logistics and a nationwide famous county, taking the advantages of the characteristics in the reservoir region and ecology, attracting investment embracing food processing, new type of building material, photoelectron and textile and costume in the light of ‘green investment’.

　　On March 12, Xintai Home Building Project with an investment of 205 million RMB and 660 stores was put into operation and became the biggest trade market in scale and capacity in Zigui and even in the Three Gorges reservoir region at present. Consolidated revenue is expected to achieve 500 million yuan and profits and taxes will reach 20 million yuan. Reporter learned that Taihe Petrochemical production control automation equipment project with the total investment of 183 million RMB and Sanxiayuan Spirit Industry project with the total investment of 120 million RMB whose annual output of spirit production line is 5,000 tons will be finished in succession. The second phase of expansion of Belle Shoe Industry, Continuous automation of production equipment of 30,000 tons of vegetable cans of Diyuan Food and Canned Food Company, Lanthanide optical glass of Gebi Jiaguang Company and other industrial projects are promoted steadily.
