It is learned that 180 urban construction projects are planned for this year, in which seven types are involved such as landscaping, road and bridge with a total investment of 22 billion yuan. Up to May 31, 12.7 billion yuan has been invested, which accounts for 58% of the total investment planning. In the second half of this year, several key projects will be initiated, such as the landscaping and water source project in East Railway Station area and the green road project in Chengdong New District.

　　This year, the infrastructure construction in Yichang focuses on road and bridge construction.  123 main and sub trunk roads with a total length of 218 kilometers will be built this year, which account for 62% of that in the Five-year Plan, with 11.68 billion yuan invested in it. The construction of an expressway network that contains 2 latitudinal lines and 2 longitudinal lines with a total investment of 14.5 billion yuan and a total length of 66 kilometers will also be initiated this year. Up to now, 370 million yuan has been invested in the Dianjun Avenue project (Miaozui Yangtze River Bridge to Shuangshi Road part), 30 million yuan in the Jiangcheng Avenue project (Dianjun Avenue to Yiling Road part), 220 million yuan in the Xiazhou Avenue project (Fazhan Avenue to Bolinhe Road part) and 150 million yuan in the Huaxi Road project (Yigu Road to Xiazhou Avenue part). Furthermore, Xiling 2nd Road expressway will be started next month.

　　It is also said that since last year, the key projects of the ecological garden plan have been the construction of a green road system, a water landscape area and six parks. Currently, the landscaping area has reached 606 hectares with a total investment of 2.87 billion yuan. Among the total 520 kilometers of planned green road system (280 kilometers of slow lane and 240 kilometers of green road along the river and around the hill), 40 kilometers will be finished this year. The construction of Yunhe and Bolinhe Green Road has been started, and the green road project in Chengdong New District and Dianjun District will be initiated in the second half of this year.
