On June, 30, according to the comment of promoting new people-oriented urbanization, Yichang public security department softens urban residency terms orderly, which brings convenience for external staff to work and live in Yichang, improving the development quality of urbanization and promoting the integration of urban and rural areas.

　　The following people can be granted urban residency: people who brought house (including second-hand house) in Yichang urban area or county, their spouses, children, parents and themselves can apply to settle down in the place where the house is located; people who have a legal and steady residence in Yichang urban area, living there for three years with residence permit, sign employee contract with employer at the residential place and join in social insurance for three years (or possess industrial and commercial business license and pay deputy at the residential place for three years), their parents, spouses, unmarried children and themselves can migrate their household registrations to the residential place; people who possess a legal and steady residence in Yichang counties and towns or urban areas of Yiling District, sign employee contract with employers at the residential place or hold industrial and commercial business license, their parents, spouses, unmarried children and themselves can migrate their household registrations to the residential place; introduced talents in Yichang hi-tech enterprises, key enterprises or big taxpayers, their spouses, direct relative and themselves can settle down in urban areas; graduates whose diploma is above junior college are allowed to settle down before employment. It aims to comprehensively soften the limitations on settling in all villages and towns (except local towns and county-level cities and sub-districts offices where belong to the county-level cities and government of Yiling District).

　　In the light of the management of territorial principle, people who match the residency conditions of Yichang urban area, counties and towns, urban area of Yiling district can apply for residency in the residential public security department. People who rent house in the community can apply for collective residence registration in residential public security department with evidentiary materials. Collective residence registration is set in community units, managed by public security department or community.

　　The vetting period will be further cut down. Examination and approval will be concluded in public security department and county government (Yiling District) within 25 workdays.
