The signing and launching ceremony of yichang eco-intelligence industry new town project was held on the morning of July 6. The project is of great importance for the sound and sustainable development of Yichang City.
Huang Chuping, the member of Standing Committee of Hubei Provincial Committee, Yichang Municipal Party Secretary, attended the signing ceremony, and met with well-known entrepreneurs and guests from home and abroad, such as Wu Xiaohua, director of the Institute of Macroeconomics, National Development and Reform Commission, Zhu Xiaoming, dean of China Europe international Business School, Zhou Zhiliang, president of China Railway Signal&Communition Corp, (hereinafter referred to as CRSC), Mr. Yang, director of IBM China Global Delivery Center, Zhu Bing, president of China Section of India\'s Tata Group, Sai Jingyuan, general manager of Wistron ITS, Liu Zheng , director of Cisco Global Senior Service Pay center, Du Mingcheng, President of Jiuchang Surveying and Mapping Group, and Liu Yi, president of KAYA Investment Group co., LTD.
Ma Xuming, vice secretary of the Yichang Municipal Party Committee and mayor of Yichang City delivered a speech. Li Yalong, the chairman of the committee of CPPCC in Yichang and Zhang Jianyi, deputy director of the Standing Committee of Yichang Municipal People’s Congress, together with municipal leaders Wu Jing, Ma Xuejun and Liu Jianxin, attended the signing ceremony.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Song Wenbao, the standing committee member of the Yichang Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor. Mao Chuanqiang, the standing committee member of the Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor and Yin Gang, vice President of CRSC signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the government and investors respectively. Zhou Qin, the vice director of Yichang New District Promotion Office signed agreements respectively with wang Yanwen, the senior director of Emerson Network Power in China, Wang Chaoying, general manager of Jiucheng Surveying and Mapping Group, Wu Tie, founder and board member of Blue Focus Group and Tian Ye, President of Hong Kong Esquel Group.
It is learned that the eco-intelligence industry new city project is the key project for Yichang to adhere to advanced equipment manufacture and modern service industry, to make breakthrough in the development of modern service industry and to develop first-class domestic service industry clusters. The project, located in Shiban Village, Yaowan Township of Xiling Region, Meiziya Village and Guojia Village of Yiling Region, covers 12.6 square kilometers, constructing an industrial platform over 1.5 million square meters.
According to the agreements, investors will abide by the industrial development steps and aims--- establishing the platform, accumulating top industries, forming clusters and creating first-class industry. They will bring in international and domestic leading corporations within 5 years and 50,000 staff members, and achieve an output value of 20 billion yuan for information technology and service contract industry in the 5th year. When it comes to the construction of the new city, the project will bring in international advanced standards and concepts to set up the plans of establishing an intelligent city. It will apply smart technology of advanced projects including embedded technology, connection technology, sensor technology and mass information handling technology, so as to establish the most informationalized innovation center and build a distinctive postmodern eco-intelligence city. Recently, the investors have already reached preliminary agreements with some top 500 global corporations and famous enterprises at home or abroad to move into Yichang City, such as IBM, Cisco Corporation, Accenture, Oracle and Emerson, etc.
Zhou Zhiliang said in his speech, yichang is the eastern gate of the western region development, and also offers important support for the triangle strategy of Hubei Province. As the pilot city for national strategic emerging industry development, Yichang presents very active energy in economic and social development with boundless business opportunities. The planning and development of eco-intelligence industry new city shows the strategic vision and resolution of Yichang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to speed up the develpoment and it has also strengthened the confidence of CRSC to support and participate in the economic construction and social development of Yichang City.
Wu Xiaohua and Ma Xuming also delivered speeches in the opening ceremonies.
