[Program introduction] GAC Motor (Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd) Yichang Branch and ZX Auto (Hebei Zhongxing Automobile CO, LTD) are the two parts of the automobile program. GAC & ZX AUTO is located in the Yichang high-tech District Xiaoting industrial Park. It provides spare parts and integration and vehicle sale for GAC Motor Yichang Branch, concentrating on building a billion automobile industrial base in Yichang. At the beginning, its annual output were 0.1 million cars, while in the future, the program will be developed gradually and realize the annual output as 0.45 million cars. In the next decade, GAC & ZX AUTO will realize 20 billion yuan of the vehicle annual output value.
No.99, Xianfeng Road, Xiaoting District, a place never been heard, has drawn attention from Yichang, even the whole province as the GAC & ZX AUTO program came here.
On August 8, our reporter drove to the site, a scene that thousands of cars were parking in the park came into sight. Walking into the welding factory, 26 CP2 flatbed robots on the main welding line were busy in doing their work orderly. A worker told our reporter that this robot production line was just installed and put into use.
GAC & ZX AUTO, a landmark program for the economic and social development of Yichang. On March 30, when the first car was completed, our reporter was told that within 10 months, the preparation and transformation of technique, management of qualification and some other things were well dealt with, which guaranteed the first car’s offline on time. Someone said that it is a miracle of Chinese automobile industry. It also refreshed "the rate of Yichang", appraised by the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Hubei government.
According to the interview, on August 6, the company just passed the accreditation inspection of China\'s Quality Center and gained 3C accreditation certificate. Every key procedure was processing in order below the calm surface. Experiences and comparisons on the site highlighted the fast promotion of the program.
Sorting the key nodes of Xiaoting Automobile industrial park, the “rate of Yichang” of this program is more prominent. On November 6, 2010, the base of GAC & ZX AUTO was founded; on December 18, 2012, a strategic cooperation memorandum was signed among Yichang government, GAC and Hebei Zhongxing Automobile. Half a year later, a basic agreement of Yichang automobile program was signed in Yichang, meanwhile, the offline ceremony of C3 automobile was held; on November 13, 2013, GAC & ZX AUTO (Yichang) Automobile Co,. Ltd. was founded; on March 30, 2014, the first car was produced.
As a major program, which was valued highly by Hubei Provincial Party Committee and vigorously promoted by Yichang Municipal Party Committee and government, the first phrase of GAC & ZX AUTO program has produced 0.1 million SUVs. So far, it can transform 0.15 million cars through car transformation technology and possesses four processes: stamping, welding, painting and assembling; in the second phase of the project, the car structure area will be 0.2 million square meters, and two platforms will be put into operation to produce 8-10 products, while the capacity will reach 0.15 million vehicles and form the production capacity for 0.3 million vehicles and spare parts; in the third phrase, a factory for 0.15 million vehicles will be built in accordance with the market and form an automobile industrial park of 0.45 million vehicles’ capacity.
It is reported that navigation version of C3 will be released this year. In the year of 2015, AT (automatic transmission) C5, CP2 sedan and CP2 HS CROSS will come into the market.
The automobile industry will drive correlative industry greatly and that is the importance of GAC & ZX AUTO. In April of this year, the first 200-miillion project of ZX Auto spare parts industrial park was under construction in Xiaoting Automobile industrial park, which will provide spare parts and logistics for the company directly. Other supporting projects are under construction or entering. GAC & ZX AUTO, a program which finally fulfilled the layout of four automobile groups in Hubei, is playing a key role in Yichang automobile 10-billion-industry at an extraordinary rate.
