Successful Flood Control of TGP

  On September 2, the river flow of 49,000 cubic meters per second arrived at Three Gorges Dam at 8 o\'clock. The Three Gorges Project (TGP) successfully reduced the flood and Three Gorges Power Station went well, which fulfilled itself as a comprehensive beneficial project.

  According to the real-time data of water from Three Gorges Cascaded Dispatch Center, on September 2nd, the reservoir inflow at the Three Gorges Dam was 49,000 cubic meters per second, while the outflow was 26,100 cubic meters per second at 8 o\'clock. According to Number 29 Order from Yangtze River General Command Office  to Prevent Flooding and Drought, from 12 o\'clock September 2 to 7 o\'clock of September 3, the outflow will be gradually increased to 40,000 cubic meters per second, to 43,000 cubic meters per second from 14 o\'clock on September 3rd, to 40,000 cubic meters per second in discharges downstream from 20 o\'clock on September 3rd.

  At present, the 34 units of the station completely run well, of which the total output reached 22.5 million kilowatt, realizing the generating function based on the designed rate. (Correspondents: Qu Dingyi, Xu Tao, Xing Jing).
