Yichang Artistic Team Won Praise in South Korea

  Recently, Yichang artistic team has returned with tremendous popularity from South Korea. It won great success at the 13th South Korea World Youth “Seoul Cup” Music, Dance, Instrumental Music, and Art Competition for 9 days from August 18 to 27.

  The event was jointly held by the ROK-China International Exchange Association of Cultural and Artistic Education and the ROK-China Friendship Association of Youth Culture and Art. Yichang delegation was consisted of 70 members, including 30 artists. The team took part in cucurbit flute, piano and dance contests, won 11 best prizes, a best organization award and 26 units of trophies and medals. It had the most competitors, big prizes, trophies and medals.

  Zhang Xihan is a 5-year-old pianist, the youngest in the delegation. Wu Qimin is a 29-year-old blind masseur from Yiling District. He conquered the Chinese and South Korea judges with a classic song Zhulinshenchu (Deep in Bamboo Forest). His performance won rounds of applauses.

  Pianists of different ages took up more than half of the competitors. Tu Yuanyuan, a teacher of AIYUEMUSIC in Yichang, played piano duets, which was attractive and eye-catching. (Reporter: Cao Yu, Correspondent: Tan Lijuan)
