During the 3-Day Mid-Autumn Festival, all the major tourist attractions in Yichang were crowded with tourists. According to the Municipal Holiday Office, Yichang received a total of 1,371,400 tourists, winning a tourism revenue of 634 million yuan, up 24.98% and 28.08% over last year.

　　During the holidays, the 8 key tourist attractions received 240,600 tourists, bringing 13,110,700 yuan. Because of some policy issues, the Three Gorges Dam received the same number of tourists of last year. But in addition to the Three Gorges Dam, all the attractions had an increase.

　　Family trip is the most popular one

　　This year, 123 rounds of family trip contest, “fell in love with Yichang” were carried out in 20 provinces and 3000 families actively participated in. The total participants hit ten thousand. On August 24th, the ultimate award party was held in Yichang, and invited the host is Li Rui, who is also the host of Hunan TV show "Dad, Where are we going". Yixhang became a top choice for family trip in the regional market because of the perfect combination of children’s education and urban tourism.

　　Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for reunion, so family trips are the commonest one in the attractions. The trip can not only bring people beautiful sceneries, but also can help enhance the relationship between family members.

　　Road trip to countryside is hot

　　Although the highways were not free of charge during the Mid-Autumn Festival holidays this year, road trip was still hot. Compared to the same period of last year, road trips to the scenic spots in Yichang increased significantly, and road trips to countryside occupied 50% of the total. The intra-provincial road trip tourists are mainly from Wuhan, Jingzhou and Jinmen and the rest are mainly from Henan Province, Hunan Province, Jiangxi Province, Sichuan Province and Chongqing.　　

　　Short trips around Yichang are the majority

　　According to the Tourism Bureau and major travel agencies, the 1-day trip tourists in Yichang reaches 564,500, up 15.23% over last year in the same period. The 1-day trip products are varied, and the "trip to two dams and Xiling Gorge" alone attracted 3300 tourists during Mid-Autumn Festival holidays. In addition, the Three Gorges tourist cards which were valid for one year were issued in Jingzhou at the end of last year, and the card is accepted by 22 scenic spots during Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, so more and more tourists come to Yichang with the card.

　　Various festival activities attract tourists

　　During the holidays, various activities were carried out all over Yichang. On September 6th, the First Myrtle Flower Festival in Yuanan County attracted about 15,000 tourists, 3,000 of which were not native but from as far as Zhejiang Province, Guizhou Province and Jiangsu Province. The First International Autumn-and- Winter Flower Show of Three Gorges was held in Qiaobian Town, Dianjun District  and was also fully open to the citizens. Qingjiang Gallery launched “double celebrations, teachers visit for free” during the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Teacher’s Day. "Enjoy the moon in beautiful autumn" held by Houhe attraction in Wufeng and "Mid-Autumn night, full moon and discounted food” held by Liziping Village, "the most beautiful village in Yichang" , are all popular with tourists.
