Illegal Plastic Surgery Clinic Cracked Down in Yichang

  Recently, Yichang Sanitary Agency, together with Public Security Bureau, investigated and treated an illegal plastic surgery clinic in a hotel of Jiefang Road after receiving a report. They found that the suspect from Shanxi province named Li had no practicing license for medical institution or certificate to practice as a doctor but injected creotoxin and hyaluronic acid in the hotel for the customers who were introduced by Li’s acquaintances. The law enforcement officers took the medicines and instruments as evidence and confiscated Li 3,300 RMB as the administrative penalty for practicing medicine without license.
  As South Korean TV soaps are getting popular in recent years, Korean cosmetic surgery has also been chased after in Yichang. Many of the beauty institutions introduced new service of Korean cosmetic surgery, especially life cosmetology. But in fact, medical cosmetology has so strict standards and demands for the employees and institutions that only the qualified inPiduals and institutions can start the business.   
  Wu Jiang, the inspection section chief of Yichang Health Supervision Bureau, warned the consumers that beauty treatment involved in medicine, surgery and carried out in any way causing physical or other damages were medical cosmetology; all the medical cosmetology institutions should have the practicing license for medical institution and the related employees should have the certificate to practice as a doctor and the qualification certificate of medical cosmetology as a attending doctor, otherwise they will be considered as illegal ones who are practicing medicine without license. The customers need to take the medical cosmetology should do it in formal medical institutions and check the employees to make sure that they have the vocational qualifications.
