Yichang Municipal Government, Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County Government and Gungzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited has signed the comprehensive strategic letter of intent of “Great Tropical and Subtropics Medicine ", “All-Round Health Industry " and "Big Business" in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Leaders attended the contract signing ceremony include Ma Xuming, Deputy-secretary of Yichang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Yichang, Liu Jianxin, Vice Mayor, Yang Meiren, Director of Yichang High-tech Zone Administrative Committee, Li Chuyuan, Chairman of GPHL, Chen Mao, General Manager of GPHL.

　　According to the tri-lateral strategic cooperation letter of intent, at the "Great Tropical medicine" level, GPHL will output the capital, brands, channels and other resources and will cooperate with the relevant pharmaceutical companies through technology transfer, and commission, as well as focus on developing cultivation and procurement of bulk authentic Chinese herbals in Wufeng in accordance with the mode of "company + base + farmers”. At the "Big Health" level, it will invest to construct Wang Lao Ji Big Health (Wufeng, Yichang) Production Base Project in the bio-industrial park of Yichang High-tech Zone, which is the production base of Wang Lao Ji Herbal Tea beverage. In the future, it will strive to build this base into one of its major production bases in Midwest China; at the "Big Business" level, it will explore health system reform though its marketing resources, network channels, operational experience and other resources.

　　Ma Xuming addressed at the ceremony: “This opens the way to substantial cooperation between Yichang and GPHL, symbolizing that it has become one of important business partners of Yichang. This project will be beneficial for Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County to accelerate shaking off poverty and becoming well off, as well as inject new vitality into developing the “Six Industries with the Gross Output Value over Hundreds of Billion Yuan” in Yichang”. He added “Yichang will firmly seize the opportunities brought by central government of building the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and fully support the development of GPHL in Yichang by focusing on the improvement of industrial complementary conditions and sparing no efforts to create a favorable environment for investment.

　　Li Chuyuan said, “Yichang is both the home of TGP (Three Gorges Project) and the sub-center city of Hubei Province with strong economic drive.” As Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County is a region inhabited by ethnic groups, it is the social responsibility of GPHL to help local people to shake off poverty and become well off. GPHL’s selection of Yichang as its development frontier is conducive to even development of different regions, and also in line with the development strategies of the corporation. Three parties will accelerate the implementation of the project based on complementary advantages.

　　Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals Corporation, ranking 219 among China\'s top 500 enterprises in 2014, has been awarded as one of “China Top 10 Most Successful Enterprises” as well as the “Cultural Construction Model Unit of National Pharmaceutical Enterprises”, besides, it is a wholly state-owned Corporation which can operate and manage the state-owned assets with the authorization of the Guangzhou Municipal Government as well as the large enterprise group whose development is supported and encouraged by the Guangzhou Municipal Government. GPHL owns a large listed company named Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings Co., Ltd and more than 30 member enterprises, furthermore, it has created some distinctive "Atypical Innovation" operation patterns such as the “Great Tropical and Subtropics Medicine” promoted by the “Bai Yun Shan” Brand, the “All-Round Health Industry” promoted by the “Wang Lao Ji” Brand and the “Big Business” promoted by the “Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals” Brand.
