On the night of October 26th, the First Yichang Art Festival “Award for Yichang Stars” Special Appraisal of Drama and Folk Opera was held in Binjiang Theater. 12 programs from the whole city gave audiences a fascinating experience with their excellent performances.

　　Various performance including Yuan’an Huagu Opera, Yidu Nan Tube, Zhanghe Drum, sketch and allegro were brought together in this Special Appraisal of Drama and Folk Opera. The performances were respectively: “Hand in Hand”, a sketch sent by Cultural and Sports Tourist Bureau in Xiaoting District, “Gold-Lettered Signboard”, a sketch sent by Cultural Tourist Bureau in Zigui County, “A Drawing of Dream Realization”, a drumming allegro, “Dream of Lao Zhang”, a Yidu Nan Tube sent by Bureau of Culture of Yidu Sub-city, “County Magistrate as Bearer” and “Mother-in-law is Also A Mother”, Yuan’an Huagu Operas sent by Cultural and Sports Bureau in Yuan’an County, “Start Over Again” a sketch sent by Cultural and Sports Bureau in Wujiagang District, “Voice”, a Zhanghe Drum sent by Cultural and Sports Bureau in Dangyang Sub-city, “Rural Shareholders Meeting”, a musical allegro drama, “Mother”, a sitcom sent by Cultural and Sports Bureau in Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, “Awaken”, a reading drama sent by Cultural and Sports Bureau in Yiling District, and “Ma Daha raises pigs”, a sketch sent by Cultural and Sports Tourist Bureau in Zhijiang Sub-city.           

　　With abundant, original and lively content, some of these programs revealed the achievements and landscapes of new rural construction, and some praised advanced models emerged in Yichang mainland, and some pointed out problems of society to educate and warn people. From creation to performance, all of these were derived from grassroots and the masses with distinct modernity, rich local features and flavor of life.      

According to introduction, spot evaluation of the Special Appraisal of Drama and Folk Opera consisted of expert judges and audience judges. There were 7 expert judges assumed by mass art experts of provincial level and municipal level, and 50 audience judges generated by register of self-recommendation and spot extraction by Wechat.
