November 14th and 15th saw the opening ceremony of self-driving tour themed Falling in Love With Yichang, over which more than 300 self-driving tour fans from all over Hubei Province were invited by the City Tourism Bureau and Xiazhou International Travel Service Company (XITSC) to drive to Yichang for a special tour experience. Wang Zhao, a tourist from Wuhan, praised it in his own way: “I just can’t believe that Yichang, apart from those famous scenic spots, has so many other interesting places for us self-driving fans.”

　　The ceremony, jointly held by the City Tourism Bureau, XITSC and some well-known tourism enterprises in Hubei Province, promoted for the first time over 10 self-driving routes covering most of urban areas and the counties of Yichang. They are respectively, Poetic and Picturesque Three Gorges Tour covering the Three Gorges Dam, Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Spot, Xiling Gorge Scenic Area; Tujia Folk Custom Tour, which contains Qingjiang Galleries, Chexi, Chaibuxi Grand Canyon; Qu Yuan & Wang Zhaojun Themed Tour, which covers Three Gorges Waterfall, hometowns of Qu Yuan, the great poet and Wang Zhaojun, the ancient beauty and ambassador; and a series of rural leisure lines etc. Relying on these valuable resources, the City Tourism Bureau will launch more lines and build a number of outdoor sports bases, thus creating Yichang a paradise for outdoor sports and self-driving tour.

　　This tour gave the first batch of motorists a real experience of the new outlook of Guanzhang Village and the local conditions and customs of Hongchun, Yidu County. It also, on the other hand, enabled them to enjoy the pleasure of picking oranges in a ten-thousand-acre orchard, and to appreciate the beautiful scenery of Baidao Lake of Qingjiang on boats.
