The construction of expressway in testing section of Dianjun Avenue paved by asphalt were in full swing. The work for spray seeding re-vegetation was being carried out, while the expressway was being paved by asphalt to ensure the process of road greening and the expressway construction in the same pace.

　　The first-stage construction of the Jiangcheng Avenue---another urban expressway road in Dianjun District is also speeding up. Starting from Yiqiao Road in the east and ending at Dianjun Avenue in the west, the Jiangcheng Avenue has a length of 8.1 kilometers, with 70 meters wide redline. The first-stage construction of this avenue started on March 2014, with a total investment of ￥228 million for developing 180,000 cubic meters land and excavating 150,000 cubic meters of stones as well as constructing 342 stake bases. Unlike the other urban expressways in Yichang, the construction of Jiangcheng Avenue adopting the design of a high tension corridor aims to convey ecological concept of “taking advantage of mountainous topography” and avoid digging and filling large area of road under the condition that the traffic function well.

　　It is said that the first-stage construction of the Dianjun Avenue will be completed by the end of this year and it will be further put into use on January 1st 2015. The Jiangcheng Avenue is expected to be formally opened in December 2015, and to be connected with the Miaozui Yangtze Bridge to be finished at the same period, making the Jiangcheng Avenue become the urban expressway networks to connect both of the south and north parts of Yichang city.
