According to Yichang Investigation Team of State Statistics Bureau, CPI of Yichang urban area in November rose 1.3% compared to last November and 0.2% to this October, and that margin on year-on-year basis was flat as October and on month-on-month basis reduced 0.1% to October. The rise of food price was the major factor in promoting the rise of total index.
　　In November, influenced by the seasons, the ratio of local vegetables in the market declined and the price of nonlocal vegetables floated upward. Vegetable price in urban area rose 1.3% compared to last month, among which the price of fresh vegetable was up 1.3% and the price of nonlocal vegetables like green bean, cowpea and cucumber went up significantly.
　　Price of pork rose slightly compared to last month which was 1.5% in November, but it was 8.7% lower than that in last November.
　　Prices of fresh fruits declined for 4.2% compared to last month, especially for that of bananas and apples.
　　Prices of clothes rose. With the autumn and winter clothes were for sale, the price of clothes rose 1% in November compared to last month, among which the price of men’s jackets rose 4.1%,  suits rose 8.8%, children’s clothing rose 3.1%. Compared to last November, the price tag of autumn and winter clothes slightly reduced with a big discount at the same time. The actual selling price was always twenty percent off.
