According to the 13th (2014) China’s Government Websites Performance Evaluation results published in Beijing, the Yichang government website (www.yichang.gov.cn) ranked No. 16 among more than 300 municipal government websites all over the country. It is also the first time for Yichang to be among the top 20. The Evaluation, sponsored by China Software Testing Center, both a scientific research institution affiliated with China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the domestic authoritative third-party software testing organization, has been held for consecutive 13 years.
　　By 2014, Yichang government website has realized data sharing with other sub sites, columns co-building and  common service, forming a cluster system of government websites including a master website plus 73 sub sites. It has updated about 98,195 pieces of information throughout the year and has set up 18 new open columns of public resources allocation, financial funds information, personnel information, which has released in public 14,866 pieces of the municipal government information and another 157 applications.
