The People’s Government of Yichang City and China Three Gorges Corporation signed an in-depth cooperation agreement in Beijing for the purpose of strengthening in-depth cooperation in the construction of Yangtze River Three Gorges Integrated Logistics System, the development of tourism resources, the construction of electricity carrier industrial park supported by large data and information industry and the construction of other projects, and jointly seizing the big opportunity of the construction of Yangtze River Economic Zone, so as to complement each other\'s advantages, achieve mutual benefit and promote Yichang’s third leap in history. Lu Chun, the president of China Three Gorges Corporation, Wang Lin, the general manager of China Three Gorges Corporation, Wang Xiaodong, a member of the standing committee of Hubei Province and the executive vice governor of Hubei Province, and Huang Chuping, a member of the standing committee of Hubei Province and party secretary of Yichang City have attended the signing ceremony.
　　Ma Xuming, the deputy secretary and mayor of Yichang City and Zhang Cheng, the deputy general manager of China Three Gorges Corporation signed the agreement on behalf of each side. According to this agreement, both shall jointly construct Yangtze River Three Gorges Integrated Logistics System, develop tourism resources, construct industrial park supported by large data and information industry. Meanwhile, both shall promote the extension project of Gezhouba Hydropower Station, advance their mutual cooperation of taxation, finance and electric power technology service, and support Three Gorges Corporation’s base construction and development in Yichang.
　　The two parties have carried on in-depth discussion over in-depth cooperation before signing. During the discussion, Wang Xiaodong praised that Three Gorges Corporation which was in profound relationship with Hubei Province and Yichang City has contributed much to the development of both the province and the city. He also said that it was a big opportunity for Hubei Province and Yichang City in strengthening the cooperation with Three Gorges Corporation. Through the agreement for deepening mutual cooperation, it is not only the root of Three Gorges Corporation that is left in Yichang City and Hubei Province, but also expected to be expanded there to realize win-win cooperation.
　　Wang said that, with an important position, especially an outstanding strategic location in Hubei Province, Yichang undertook the heavy responsibility to carry out the strategy of taking Wuhan as the center city, Yichang and Xiangyang as the deputy center cities in Hubei. Since Yichang stood out in the advantages and potentials for its development, Three Gorges Corporation that chose to invest and develop in Yichang and deepen cooperation fully showed its strategic vision. He also expressed that Hubei provincial Party committee and provincial government would do their best to create the conditions and confirmedly support them to deepen their strategic cooperation and were fully confident in their cooperation. He required Yichang to provide the best service for Three Gorges Corporation’s development there to achieve win-win cooperation.
　　Huang expressed his thanks to Three Gorges Corporation for its long-term strong support of the development of Yichang City and Hubei Province, and highly praised it as the leading corporation in state-owned enterprises for its creation of several first in state-owned enterprises, and even in the world of which Yichang City and Hubei Province were really proud. He said that, Yichang city, a city of water and electricity that rose sharply in the world, was prosperous and famous for the Three Gorges Project, so in the critical period of Yichang’s great-leap-forward development, the in-depth cooperation with Three Gorges Corporation must promote Yichang developing into a modern megalopolis to open the new page of in-depth cooperation.
　　Lu Chun was grateful for the help and support of Yichang, Hubei to the development of construction of Three Gorges and China Three Gorges Corp. He also introduced the current situation of the Corp.
　　He said that last year, the Corp had made a historical profit, proving that its development was of quality, and it was sustainable and had strong capacity of investment. Lu also pointed out that the root of the Corp was forever in Yichang, and further the cooperation aimed to reward people of Yichang, Hubei. In the future, the Corp would seriously keep its promises, sturdy push the construction of great projects, to contribute more to the progress of Yichang.
　　In terms of Three Gorges comprehensive logistic system construction, they would fully take advantage of Yichang’s position as an integrated transportation junction to better plan the system and endeavor to bring it into plan of Yangtze River Economic Zone and Yangtze River transportation system. The Corp will invest a billion to select a platform and build a modern logistic company with Yichang government.
