It is learned from the Business Economics Conference held in Yichang urban area on March 6th that both the total retail sales of consumer goods and the total volume of import and export trade in Yichang have ranked the third place in Hubei Province, with year-on year growth of 13.3% and 14.8% respectively. The business volume of economic cooperation with foreign countries accounts for 45.27% that of Hubei Province, which has topped consecutively among other cities in Hubei Province.
In 2015, the expected goals of business development in Yichang are as follows: The growth rate of leading indicators in business economics will be higher than the average level of Hubei Province, the total retail sales of consumer goods will increase by more than 13.2%, the newly-increased commercial enterprises above designated size will add up to 100, and the foreign trade export will increase by 15%. As a result, the commercial department will vigorously adjust the economic structure to expand the new types of business, to create an environment for the development of new business and to activate the emerging service industry. Besides, Yichang will lay stress on “E-Commerce Enterprises” and “Enterprises Applied E-Commerce” to propel the rapid growth of e-commerce. Consequently, and will endeavor to apply successfully one national e-commerce demonstration base and two national e-commerce demonstration enterprises to establish the information e-commerce pilot to benefit people in the rural area.
Meanwhile, Yichang will promote the consumption of six emerging fields which include information consumption, green consumption, housing consumption, tourism and leisure consumption, education, recreation and sports consumption, and consumption for providing the aged, health care, and home economics, together with boost the comprehensive reform pilot city of service industry for the aged people and build the city of tourism standardized.
