On the 10th of March, according to Yichang Investigation Team of State Statistics Bureau, CPI of Yichang urban area in February rose 1.9% compared to last February and 1.3% month-on-month, and that margin rose 1.2% year-on-year and 0.7% month-on-month compared to January. The rise of food price was the major factor in promoting the rise of total index.
　　Influenced by the concentrated release of consumption and the reduction of market supply for partial shops were closed during the Spring Festival, the price of vegetables floated upward significantly. Vegetable price in urban area rose 13.8% compared to last February and 21.3% to this January, among which the price of fresh vegetables was up 22.7%, and anti-season vegetables and green vegetables rose the most. At the same time, price of aquatic products like shrimp and crab rose 16.1% compared to this January, while price of pork and beef rose marginally and the price of mutton kept the same. Besides, the price of urban domestic service, processing and maintenance services in February rose 6% compared to this January.
