Working conference about the citywide housing construction was held on Wednesday. During the conference, it was proposed that this year the city would realize urbanization rate of 56.65%, achieve urban frame areas of 200 square kilometers and complete the urban infrastructure construction with 35 billion input in order to build Yichang an ecological city of three-dimensional afforesting. Deputy mayor Mao Chuanqiang also attended the meeting.
　　According to the urban construction plan, the city will arrange 287 construction projects which focus on building fast roads nets, parkland and public facilities. Efforts will be made to build three levels of fast road nets and to complete the inner ring this year, to make sure Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge open to traffic in this year, accelerate the construction of Jiangcheng rode, second phase of Dianjun Road, second phase of Xiazhou Road, Huaxi Road, reconstruction of Xiling Road, and complete BRT renovation in Dongshan Avenue and opened to traffic, and strive to start construction of the Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge. Besides, the city will focus on promoting the construction of Moji Mountain and Chengdong Park, and actively promote the construction of public facilities, such as the City Museum, Olympic Sports Center, and Planning Exhibition Hall, and basically finish construction of new campuses of Yichang No.1 Senior high school and Yiling high school.
　　Mao Chuanqiang said that in this year the government should conform to requirements of the modern society, provincial level and global vision in housing construction and urban and rural construction, and also take efforts to build a regional brand, tamp “three bases and promote seven priorities”, which means to strengthen the urban planning, infrastructure construction, and industry management as well as to promote city and countryside overall plan, strategically start of green buildings, quality management of projects, garbage management in rural areas, shantytowns reconstruction, urban integration, civilized construction in order to make Yichang well-known for its green ecological environment.
　　Mao Chuanqiang stressed that the government should always put Yichang’s unique landscape on the first place while constructing the city. He also emphasized that we must strive to build Yichang an ecological city by constructing city based on physical features of the place and  maximally keeping the natural landscape. In addition, he pointed out that urban construction should be efficient and minimize the impact on the urban environment and people\'s lives by reducing noise making and dust, decreasing road occupation, starting the project cautiously and complete quickly.
