Twenty years ago, the Three Gorges, one of the world-famous tourism sites, became a popular tourist destination in the world, while the number of tourists visit there adversely affected by the traffic restrictions. Nowadays, there comes a new golden age for the Three Gorges tourism, with Yu-Yi (Chongqing-Yichang) Expressway running into operation and more convenient transportation to the Three Gorges hinterland. 
　　On March 26, under the theme of taking you to appreciate beauties of the Three Gorges, Chongqing Tourism Investment Group together with the Tourism Bureau of Fengjie, Wushan, Wuxi and Yunyang held a promotion meeting for new products in Yichang aiming to recommend tourists the products along the Three Gorges scenic sites and the routes.
　　Multiple tourist routes take you appreciate the Three Gorges
　　Targeted on the potential tourists market in Yichang, tourism companies and travel agents introduced tourism routes with local characteristics, such as a 2-day tour route from the Baidi City (White Emperor City) in Fengjie of Chongqing to the Museum of Ancient Elephant, the Witch Cave in Wuxi, the Old Town in Ningchang and the small Three Gorges of Wushan, and a 2-day tour from Fengjie to Zhangfei Temple in Yunyang, the Three Gorges Heritage Park, the small Three Gorges of Wushan, as well as other 3-day tourism routes.
　　Various products on the road along the Three Gorges broke the previous mode of enjoying the Three Gorges scenery by cruise and made tourists easier to feel magnificent splendor of the Three Gorges, thus to further enrich the connotation of the Three Gorges tour with a broader scope, more options.
　　Enjoy delicious foods while appreciating beautiful scenery
　　It is reported that the promotion for new products aims to attract tourists to the reservoir areas of the Three Gorges, such as Fengjie, Wuxi, Wushan, Yunyang and other places. Tourists in Fengjie can have a close watch on the world\'s largest "funnel"; Seen from the Gap of Tianjin Gorge, you can enjoy the splendid scenery of canyon landscape. In the Witch Cave of Wuxi, you can appreciate the beauty of the Gallery as well as Wuxi. All these scenic spot will impress you with magnificent scenery.

　　New mode for the Three Gorges Tour
　　After Yu-Yi (Chongqing-Yichang) Expressway running into operation, you can drive from the city of Chongqing through Wanzhou, Fengjie and Wushan then arrive in Yichang. You can also drive to Shanghai from Yichang. You can visit many national-level scenic sites, including the Baidi City, the Small Three Gorges, the Shennong Stream, the Hometown of Zhaojun, as well as the Three Gorges Dam by driving your car along the Three Gorges tourism route. The introduction of the Three Gorges tourism route not only brings new opportunities for tourism development in Yichang city, but also builds a new platform for joint development for scenic spots all along the Three Gorges.
　　As a new tourism products of the Three Gorges introduced to tourists, more than 400 tourists went to the Three Gorges to appreciate splendid scenery of the Three Gorges, to visit the Shennong Stream, the Baidi City and other attractions, and to enjoy delicious snack foods of the Three Gorges areas by cruise. Finally they went back by travelling buses. Since the opening of the Yu-Yi Expressway, Yichang Municipal Bureau of Tourism launched new tourism products of the Three Gorges and successfully created a new model of the Three Gorges tour. 2-day tour routes change the traditional way of the Yangtze River Three Gorges Tourism and introduce the innovative mode of "go sightseeing by cruise, live on land, go by travelling bus and go back by cruise ". The perfect combination of famous tourism products of the Three Gorges--natural and cultural landscapes with the high-quality leisure cruise for the tourists aims to take tourists experience a depth experiential leisure vacation and to provide a high-quality tour along the Three Gorges.
