According to Yichang Science and Technology Bureau, 60 enterprises of Yichang city have been jointly identified as high-tech enterprises by Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province, Financial Department of Hubei Province, State Administration of Taxation and Local Taxation Bureau. Currently, the total number of the high-tech enterprises in the city has reached 228, which doubled compared with that of 2012.
　　 In recent years, the city issued a series of policies and measures to encourage technological innovation, such as "Opinions on Promoting Scientific and Technological Innovation, Accelerating the Construction of National Innovation Pilot Cities", and "Opinions on Support Science and Technology Business Building Incubator", to enhance independent innovative capability by building the scientific highland, stimulating innovative vitality of business, building innovative service platform and other aspects, and to further highlight the technological innovation in accelerating the development mode, and promoting economic development in the supporting role. Last year, the added value of city\'s high-tech industry was 47.529 billion RMB, and the net increase was 13.027 billion RMB. According to comparable prices, there was an increase of 14.7%, which is 3.5 % higher than the growth rate of industrial added value of the city.
　　In order to better serve the development of high-tech enterprises, municipal science and technology departments will improve the working mechanism of cultivating high-tech enterprises, implement key tracking services for high-tech enterprises and reserved enterprises, improve the system, cooperate closely, actively support and timely carry out the preferential taxation policies with the financial and tax departments. (Correspondent: Xie Chao)
