The ceremony of the operation of the pharmaceutical export base of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Company was held in Yichang Biological Industrial Park. Zhang Wenxue, the vice mayor, Yang Meiren, deputy secretary and director of Yichang High-tech Zone Committee, Wang Xuehai, the chairman of Humanwell Pharmaceutical Company, and Li Jie, the president of Humanwell Pharmaceutical Company, the party secretary and chairman of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Company attended the meeting.

　　The pharmaceutical export base of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Company is the first manufacturing base of oral solid preparation according to the standards of FDA. With the total investment of 700 million yuan, construction area of more than 30,000 m ², and main equipments from international well-known manufacturers, the productivity could reach 5 billion tablets a year after achieving the design capacity. Taking the production of high-end sustained-release preparations as the main developing orientation, the product capacity and R&D efficiency of the pharmaceutical export base are all in the leading position of the industry by continuous breakthrough and innovation under the lead of a team of experienced overseas experts.
　　By the strenuous efforts of the pharmaceutical export base of more than 200 employees, the project has successfully completed the commissioning and validation. The team consists of seven returnees, with four Indian experts being the core. The quality system meets the standards of both US and EU. The product development and business development in Europe and America have also made a breakthrough. Li Jie said excitedly: “The pharmaceutical export base project of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Company is a major move to implement the company\'s internationalization strategy and a beneficial attempt for our restructuring, upgrading, and gear to international standards. The operation of the project not only marks that the products of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Company will enter the high-end market of Europe and America for the first time, but also indicates that the company implements industrial upgrading, and international strategy moves towards a new milestone.
