The investment fair of Yichang was held this week at Dongfang Jianguo Hotel Wuhan, with participation of over 200 business elites, before the opening of the 9th Expo Central China. 
　　Huang Chuping, member of the Standing Committee of Provincial Committee of Hubei Province and the secretary of Yichang Municipal Committee of the CPC attended relative activities. Ma Xuming, the deputy secretary of Yichang Municipal Committee of the CPC and the mayor made the speech. Ma Xuejun, member and the  secretary-general of Municipal Committee of Yichang City attended the meeting. Liu Jianxin, the deputy mayor, hosted the fair.
　　The fair for investment of Yichang plays an important role in the 9th Expo Central China. On this fair, eight projects has been signed with the investment of nearly 10 billion yuan together, including integrated housing of Yidu City, Fairy puerariae juice of Dangyang City, the fine chemical engineering of series kinds of glue used in shoes of Zhijiang City, the application and development of LNG gas station of Zigui County, second-stage development of Mingfeng Mountain of Yuan’an County, the new-type building material produced by ardealite of Yiling District, the urban complex of Xinhua Park of Wujiagang District, the Three Gorges Fruits and Vegetables Trading Park of Xiling District. These projects have covered many fields such as food processing, modern logistics, urban complex, new energy, science and technology for environmental protection, cultural tourism and advanced equipment manufacturing.
　　As Ma said, Yichang City is the location of the well-known Three Gorges Project, the provincial deputy center of Hubei Province. Last year, the total volume of economy ranked the second place among the same level cities in central China, the fourth one among the same level cities along the Yangtze River, the second one in Hubei Province. Now, Yichang is seizing the great opportunities of One Belt and One Road, the construction of Yangtze River Economic Zone, the agglomeration along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the Three Gorges follow-up work planning, etc. The construction of Yichang City and the development of industries have been made at the same time in order to push forward the construction of the agglomeration of the Three Gorges District and build Yichang into a modernized megacity and the first city among these non-provincial capital city of central China with more opportunities by the carrier of four major platforms -- Yichang New District, Yichang High-tech District, the Three Gorges Hub Port, the Three Gorges New Tourism District and the key points of six 100-billion industries of fine chemical engineering, food biology medicine, advanced equipment manufacturing, new types of material, modern logistics, cultural tourism. Yichang will be built into the national demonstration base of transformation and upgrading of industry, the important connection of logistics along the Yangtze River economic belt, the center of the Three Gorges agglomeration and the world-famous city of hydropower and tourism by these projects which have been signed in the fair. Ma Xuming said that in order to sustainably improve the environment of development and support more enterprises to be established and developed in Yichang by streaming administration and delegating powers as well as optimizing services. We hope that more businessmen would come to Yichang to make investment and contribute the development of the city, share its prosper and make their business more thriving in Yichang City as well.   
　　Attendees of the fair saw the publicity video of Yichang, the modernized megacity. Zhang Runbin, the president of Shanghai Zhisheng Group, and Lou Jicheng, the president of Chenxian Trading Company from Taiwan made their speeches respectively to speak highly about the environment of investment in Yichang which aroused strong resonance among businessmen there. (Special Report by Zheng Guanghua)
