After the successive completion of BRT stations and driving back of newly-bought BRT special buses to parking lots, Yichang Bus Group pressed on its training of BRT bus drivers and station assistants.
Yichang Bus Group launched its first pre-post training of BRT station assistants this week. 160 station assistants will be trained on service etiquette of BRT station, operation procedures of security doors and gates in the stations, basic knowledge of medical first aid and fire safety, etc. In addition, they will go for actual operation practice in the BRT stations during the training. After that, they will be assigned to each BRT station in batches and take charge of daily affairs, such as providing guides for passengers, supervising coin-slotting and maintaining the information equipment in the stations.
According to reports, bus drivers are undergoing training on how to drive 18-meter articulated BRT bus. The training is reported to approach the end of the second stage whose main content includes on-spot entering practice of BRT buses aimed to help drivers learn the features of BRT stations completely and get fully acquainted with the entering process as soon as possible.
