The First Youth Entrepreneur (Maker) Competition & Cooks’ Café Maker Space Unveiling Ceremony was held on July 3rd in Yichang TusPark Hi-Tech Industry Development Zone. Ma Xuming, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee & Mayor, attended the ceremony and unveiled the nameplate for the first entrepreneurial brand, encouraging young people to realize their dreams through hard work.
The strategic target of developing a “City of Entrepreneurship, City of Innovation” was proposed by Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government under the background of popular entrepreneurship and innovation. “Maker” (a new name given to those young people who start a business) has become one of the most active groups in Yichang. A batch of innovative business incubation projects emerged with Cooks’ Café as the representative, which will provide the entrepreneurs with a number of services, such as financing, talents exchange, information resources, professional training and project matchmaking etc.
“Cook Makers’ Home” is an innovative and entrepreneurial communication platform developed by Cooks’ Café Maker Space. In addition, it is also the first business incubation platform in the innovation-oriented society in which entrepreneurs, investors and entrepreneurship tutors are able to communicate on site, so entrepreneurial projects can be matched with investors in time in order to lower the cost of entrepreneurship. Chen Yan, sponsor of Cooks’ Café and President of Yichang Youth Entrepreneur Association, said that Cooks’ Café will strive to develop the most featured, high attention rate and active business incubation project along the Yangtze River Economic Zone on the basis of Yichang local and the Three Gorges City Cluster.
A number of entrepreneurship tutors including Zhuang Yan, the founder of China Entrepreneur Club (CEC), Dong Jianqiang, General Secretary of China Startup Incubator Alliance (CSIA) and Qi Yong, the founder of Luojia Café gathered in Yichang TusPark and performed the first road show in Cooks’ Café, providing the latest information, the most efficient way and pertinent suggestions for Yichang Maker.
