2015-08-14 11:20:02

On July 20th , it is learned from Yichang Bus Group that till July 19th, the BRT No.1 Line has safely transferred 2.75 million passengers since it officially started trials on July 15th. Related departments now are working on improving BRT PIDS, and more passengers are gradually used to this new transportation mode.

2.75 million passengers have been during July 15 to 19, which contains 0.8 million on BRT platforms and the number of card users has increased by 25%, from 23 % of the first day of trial to 48%. And about 0.6 million passengers were transported on July 16th, which exceeds regular 0.55 million passengers by city buses before.

According to statistical materials, transferring platforms of BRT mainly lies at the Gezhouba,  Yichang No.22 Senior High School, Liujiadayan, Lvluo Road, Beishanpo, Shimapo, Wanshouqiao, Yangcha Road, Wuyi Square, Jucheng Road, etc. Up to now, related departments are improving PIDS of 42 substations step by step and adding other items including transferring guide, ground marked words, etc. More than half of passengers can get familiar with entering procedure and transferring stations after once or twice try of BRT, which largely helps to relieve the consultant pressure in staff working in bus stations. Long Mei, one staff of Shanzhuang Road Station, said: “On July 15, over 2/3 passengers were confused about the procedure when taking BRT. I almost lost my voice after one-day work. While on July 19, less than 70 passengers asked for help, which gives me more time to clean up the platform.”

The Group has overall updated data of My Bus which can better present all lines adjusted exactly, and he also reminds citizens that they should add “B” before a line when looking up lines on My Bus. For example, just input “B9” if passenger wants to check BRT Line No.9.  (Reporter: Yan Xiaodong; correspondent: Xu Aimin)
