The city government held a meeting on science and technology this week. During the first half of the year, the city has organized 55 enterprises to declare high-tech enterprises, 45 of which have passes the expert review. Newly identified 38 enterprises are rated as pilot enterprises of SME innovation growth project. Up until now, 166 enterprises in Yichang city have joined into the SME Innovation Growth Project. The construction of science and technology innovation platform is advanced. 11 enterprises have been organized and recommended to declare provincial engineering technology research centers or schools and enterprises to build R & D center. 12 municipal engineering and technology center are accepted. 165 national and provincial science and technology projects have been declared. The annual financial support is expected to be higher than one billion RMB.

The situation of the city\'s public career should be created with most preferential policies and best measures to attract entrepreneurs. Efforts will be increased to make scientific and technological achievements into production and the development of high-tech industries will be accelerated, so that more enterprises will be supported by the fund to help SME grow bigger and stronger to strengthen the management of the municipal science and technology innovation platform, to ensure that municipal science and technology innovation platform, to improve the capability of independent innovation, and to play a major role in supporting economic and social development.
