The Food and Drug Administration of Xiling District included the foods safety in night market into the scope of regulation and conducted the investigation on the foods in night market at Han-Yi Road, the Central Avenue of the CDB on July 30,  to guarantee foods and snacks safety in night market from the source.

At 6:30 pm on July 30, the reporter followed the law enforcement officers to the snacks street at Hanyi Road. All stalls with unified specifications neatly arranged on the road side, the streets were crowed with people and a lot of them waited in front of the stalls to buy barbecue, drinks and other foods. Law enforcement officers came to a stall selling grilled squid and inquired about the incoming source of squid. However, the owner of the stall only knew telephone number of supplier, while was quite unclear about the name or the address of the suppliers. During the investigation, the law enforcement officers were concerned for the food safety problem of the foods sources in the bight market.

Lin Wenming, the Deputy Director of the Food and Drug Administration of Xiling District pointed out that it was difficult to investigate and supervise the night market stalls since these stalls had high mobility. But our next step was to register the owner\'s name of each stall to further guarantee the food safety. Lin also said that they will focus on urging the owner of stalls at Hanyi Road to handle health certificate, and to record and register the phone number, business category and other information of stall\'s owners. The owners of each stall were asked to guarantee the food safety and to assist the officers in the supervision of food safety responsibilities.

Xiling District started to regulate the stalls in night market at Hanyi Road last year, and set up a unified stalls and positions for each owner. Great changes had taken place in the night market. Nowadays, there were 75 snack stalls in total. Lin said that they would strengthen food safety supervision on night market stalls to assure the safety of the food street.
