According to the Yichang Investigation Team from National Bureau of Statistics on August 10th, CPI of urban area saw 2% and 0.3% growth respectively year on year and month on month in July, both increased by 0.3% with food price as the main contributor for the growing of the total index.

Because of the sufficient supply of vegetables in July, the price for fresh vegetables decreased dramatically by 3.9% month on month. The pork priced showed monthly increase for three months continuously, while it rose 7.7% month on month in July with 1.2% growth.

The bus ticket price also saw its first adjustment in July, rising 32.3% month on month for the inauguration of BRT in Yichang. (Reporter Pei Zhujing, Correspondent Zou Jiao)
