The 2015 Investment Symposium on Culture Industry of Hubei Province was held in Wuhan on the afternoon of August 6. The People’s Government of Wujiagang District signed a contract with Shenzhen Dazonggyi Culture Group on the construction of Yichang Binjiang Cultural City, willing to build the Binjiang area of 128 Mu into a cultural city with rich historical and cultural milieu by the agreed investment of 500 Million RMB.

According to Yichang Investment Bureau and Yichang Cultural Bureau, the proposed Yichang Binjiang Cultural City Project was located in Wujiagang District, with a total area of 128 Mu, consisting of Area 1 of 103 Mu, and Area 2 of 25 Mu. It was opposite to Yanjiang Road on the south, near to Hospital of Chinese Medicine on the west, spread to Shengli No. 1 Road on the east and to Yiling Road on the north.

The developer would accumulate an investment of 500 million RMB during the construction period according to the project plan, to build new theaters, cultural sites, commercial buildings, office buildings and so on.  It will be built into a culture center by combining culture, tourism, and business together, and have the integrated function of culture, innovation, business and leisure.

Youdong, the president of Shenzhen Dazhongyi Cultural Group, introduced that the project included upgrading current Binjiag Theater, building new concert hall and culture business incubator. The new Binjiang Theater will be equipped with various facilities and hardware, and be promoted by new performances. Furthermore, the piano concert hall will be built in Yichang which has the glorious name of “Capital for Piano in the World”. Culture business incubator will introduce some relevant creative industries, providing all kinds of services, like decoration, secretaries, accounting service and working staff to enterprises, so they can commence their business here by bringing business licenses only. It is estimated that the Yichang Binjiang Culture city would be completed within two years, and the construction could be started immediately after pulling down houses and resettling the inhabitants.
