On August 10th, the Press Conference of 6th China Three Gorge Yangtze River International Tourism Festival and the 5th Yichang China Yangtze River Piano Music Festival is being held in Wuhan. The associate Mayor announced that the Two Festivals will be held in Yichang in September. So far, all preparation has almost been completed and some mass cultural activities are in progress. During the period, more than 30 activities will contribute to this spectacular tourism festival.

It’s said that the Two Festivals is featured by regional cooperation, culture tourism benefits to the people, promotion of the industry, and being economical and highly efficient.

From September 14th to 16th, the international conference named “Three Gorges City Group and Yangzte River Economic Zone” will be held by OECD in Yichang. The experts and specialists from home and aboard will be invited to attend a symposium focusing on the development of “the Three Gorges city group and the Yangtze River economic zone”. Topics to be covered include:  the opportunities of the development, the status quo and functions of the city group, and the cooperation between the cities, so as to promote the mutual development of the cities within the area. At the same time, Hubei-Chongqing rotating chairman conversation in 2015 and the 2nd Three Gorge City Economic Corporation and Development Forum will be held too.

During the period of Two Festivals, Yichang will organize the tourists from home and aboard to experience the Three Gorge tourism products and various culture tourism activities. Meanwhile Yichang will be the first to issue the annual Tourism Card in other cities in Three Gorge city groups. And also Yichang will also encourage other cities to issue the annual Tourism Card to Yichang people. Eventually people only need one card to travel in the whole Three Gorge city groups which benefits people greatly. Yichang will also hold a series of piano concerts. The theme is “Music is Love”. And also the first rock music concert named “the Star of Three Gorge” will be held. Famous rocky stars such as Cui Jian, Zheng Jun, the Tang Dynasty Band and Black Leopard will be invited to perform in Yichang.

In addition, the 3th Prime Golden Bell Music Award of China and the semi-final and final competition of Yangtze River Piano Cup will be held during the Two Festivals. The five concerts will be open to public for free. (Reporter: Cao Yang)
