Recently, the National Tourism Administration released the first “China’s Tourism Brands List”,  among which 4 model villages, 5 model households, 40 rich bellwethers of rural tourism and 61 starred agritainments are from Yichang.
　　The four model villages are Chexi Village in Dianjun District, Zhengjiabang Village in Changyang County, Liziping Village in Wufeng County and Guangzhuang Village in Yiling District.
　　The five model households are Native People Commune in Zhijiang City, Happy Manor in Yuan’an County, Xiaotai Farm Village in Xingshan County, Changfeng Commune Ecological Farm in Changyang County and Yanqing Mountain Villa Hotel in Xiling District.
　　In order to implement the “515 Strategies”, cultivate rural tourism brands, accelerate the tourism transformation and updating, and to improve its quality and influence, the National Tourism Administration has carried out “rural tourism brands-promoting” activities, giving praise to 1,000 national rural tourism model villages, 1,000 model households, 10,000 starred rural inns and 10,000 rich bellwethers in rural tourism industry. Through selections, checks and recommendations by all-level tourism departments, National Tourism administration made verification and released the first batch of “thousands of rural tourism brands list”.
　　Through these activities, there are in total 1,056 “Chinese Rural Tourism Model Villages”, 1,063 “Chinese Rural Tourism Model Households”, 9,231 “Chinese Rural Tourism Starred Agritainments” and 8,887 “rich bellwethers in developing rural tourism”. Within Hubei Province, 37 villages are awarded with  “Chinese rural tourism model villages”, and 4 from Yichang; Yichang also have 5 names listed among provincial 40 Chinese rural tourism model households; 61 rural inns from Yichang are among Hubei provincial 400 ones titled Chinese starred rural inns.
