According to Yichang Tourism Bureau, 131 tourism projects are under construction with an investment of 2.69 billion yuan in the first half year, which indicates Yichang’s upsurge of tourism.

At present, a number of key tourism projects are picking up their speed. For the projects of Yichang Piano Culture Creative Park, the International Trade Center City, and Chinese Sturgeon Cultural Industrial Park, land leveling and demolition are progressing smoothly; a couple of  projects such as the Cultural Theme Park in Qu Yuan Hometown scenic spot (Dragon Boat Festival), the Three Gorges Bamboo Sea scenic spot (phase 3) upgrades, the second consumption of Qu Yuan Hometown have been planned; the projects of Qu Yuan Hometown Dragon Boat Folk Exhibition Center, Jiuwanxi scenic spot supporting facilities construction and toilets construction in Zigui County’s tourism place have finished their planning design.
