On September 21, Hubei Shengpengda Investment Holding Group held a magnificent ceremony named “Paying Homage to Guan Yu by Chinese at home and aboard” in Guanling Cultural Park in Dangyang.
Over one thousand people, including the specialists and scholars studying the Guan Yu culture, representatives of Guan Yu Temple, descendants of Guan Yu and local people, joined this ceremony.
Invested by SPD, the project called “Guan Yu cultural tourism city in Dangyang” covers an area of 1,650 acres, which is also one of three shrines related to Guan Yu. The other two are Temple of Guan Yu and Yuquan Temple. After the project is finished, it will own the world’s biggest worshipping area for Guan Yu, the biggest worshipping temple for Guan Yu in terms of its floor area, the largest Guan Yu Temple architectural group in terms of its scale, the biggest Guan Yu cultural experience area and the first three-sided statue of Guan Yu. (Reporter：Zhen Yunli; Correspondents: Wang Yunqing & Niu Yunhong)
