According to the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Yichang Three Gorges Bonded Logistics Center is to be completed within this year for a trial operation.
The completion of the Three Gorges Bonded Logistics Center will reduce 15%-20% of composite cost for the enterprises and bring around 20% of value-added services. It will not only benefit the enterprises within Yichang, but also attract foreign trade enterprises in southwest Hubei Province and regions around the Three Gorges to settle in. Therefore, it will indeed help Yichang give play to the functions of sub-provincial center and core functions in the Three Gorges urban cluster, advancing the strategic course of “one provincial center and two sub-provincial centers” and promoting the rapid growth of import & export trade of enterprises in the core area and the area of coverage. It is estimated that foreign trade logistics quantity will reach 5.2 million tons and bonded logistics quantity 1.3 million tons. It will bring 180 billion yuan of logistics industry revenue and 100 billion yuan of added value of logistics industry in Yichang during the next five years.  (Reporter Muran, intern Yang Qianqian, correspondent Yu Pengfei)
