Yichang: Investment & Business Value City in China

Yichang was appraised as “2015 Investment & Business Value City” in the Fourth National City Development Mayors’ Forum & Releasing Ceremony of the Investment & Business Value City in China jointly hosted by Xinhua News Agency Outlook Weekly and the National Policies of Cities Commission of China On Oct 17th. Mao Chuanqiang, the member of the standing committee of municipal Party committee and the vice mayor of Yichang, attended this forum and received the prize.

It was introduced by the person in charge of Outlook Weekly, the sponsor of this activity, that the list issued in this forum had been produced by the experts’ system evaluation and voting after a long-term tracking monitoring of many aspects in various cities in China, such as attention, urban investment environment, exploitation of policies, cultural environment, construction achievements and so on through special public opinion survey center, including Sina.com, Tencent.com and so on. Yichang had been successfully selected into the list and appraised, which came from the sustained endeavor and remarkable performance during the construction of megacity and the development of urban and rural integration.

In recent years, Yichang had tightly embraced the goals of quickly building a sub-provincial center city and modern megacity. According to the post-modern concept of green ecology, Yichang had vigorously carried out the construction of new district, the renewal of old urban area, the building of the city as well the overall urban-rural development, therefore, its took on a new look from various aspects, such as urban image human settlement, economic development, associated industries, business environment and so on, which brought the comparative advantages of Yichang’s investment & business among the cities of the same class in China and also adequately reflected the comprehensive effects in all directions.
